Public space, as a place for gathering, exchange, and community engagement, has been a defining feature of urban life from the earliest settlements to today’s vast megacities. It serves as a stage for social identity, communication, cultural and commercial production, and other essential aspects of civic life. It is no coincidence that the creation of shared spaces remains a core principle of urban development.

"The Transformation of Mexico Through Its Cities" carefully documents the results of the PMU during its first year. The design process required an in-depth reading and thorough understanding of the book’s content to effectively and dynamically convey the full scope of housing projects undertaken across the country in that inaugural year.
